To accept card payments, you must comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). PCI DSS is a set of requirements that you must follow to ensure you handle cardholder data securely.
There are two fees associated with PCI compliance that we display on your statement:
- Platinum Security PCI fee - Monthly or annual fee that we charge for access to SecureTrust, our PCI compliance partner.
- PCI noncompliance fee - Fee that we charge if you don't meet the minimum requirements for processing card payments.
For more information about your statement, see Fees in your statement.
Platinum Security PCI fee
We charge the Platinum Security PCI fee for access to SecureTrust, our PCI compliance partner. When we board you to our services, we automatically register you with SecureTrust's PCI Manager.
SecureTrust provides services to help you with PCI compliance, including a Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) to assess how you run card payments and how you handle customer data. SecureTrust also offers vulnerability scanning and provides additional security tools if you require them.
For more information about SecureTrust, go to SecureTrust PCI Manager.
PCI noncompliance fee
We charge the PCI noncompliance fee when your account doesn't comply with PCI DSS. We apply the fee for every month that you don't comply.
You must fix any PCI compliance issues as quickly as possible. If you don't comply with PCI DSS, you might no longer be able to accept card payments.
For more information about how to become PCI compliant, go to PCI DSS compliance.
