If you have unpaid taxes, a tax authority such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) or your state's Department of Revenue can require Payroc to withhold your settlement funds.
Unpaid taxes can result in a tax lien, which is a legal claim on your business property. If the lien remains unresolved, the tax authority can issue a levy to collect the amount you owe.
When we receive a levy notice from the tax authority, we withhold your settlement funds and send them to the tax authority. We continue to withhold your funds until we receive a notice from the tax authority that tells us to stop.
If you have questions about liens and levies, contact our Customer Support Team at (888) 477-4500 or email cs@payroc.com.
